[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(''), border: solid #886068 5px; width: 450px; height: 500px;] having not read a good book in quite a while now, aphrodite decided to take this opportunity on a saturday afternoon to browse the library's selection before finding plans with friends later on in the day. aphrodite loved to get lost in a book just as much as she loved to get lost in the world's circle of events. she felt that reading helped her brain expand, soaking in any bit of knowledge to help her succeed in school. after all, it was her final year at hogwarts and she was working on figuring out who she wanted to be once she graduated. there have been a few regrets she has harbored inside of her, but for her being a muggleborn and experiencing the magical world, she found it to be pleasing. the adventure of becoming a witch has been life changing, literally. who knew she had magic inside of her?
she wanted to make the most of her education, but still squeeze in social time with friends. aphrodite is one for helping others and wants to look into an occupation that suits it well. as much as she was quite independent, aphrodite was still learning to figure out who she wants to become in this magical world. sometimes reading a good book will trigger ideas in her open mind, which aphrodite was already deep inside the library and hoping to come across that perfect book. it was about time that she lost herself in a book anyway. as she made her way through the aisles, her index finger dragged along the spines of each book as she searched for something to catch her attention. she wondered how long this visit would take, her mind trailing off as she mindlessly moved through the aisles. she was going through autopilot at this point as if it was natural to be here.

this afternoon he found himself in the library, for what reason he wasn't exactly sure. but he was determined to keep himself busy, instead of out there making a fool of himself in the grounds, torturing the young children, and making himself look like a complete jackass. no, now he was wandering the aisles of books, looking for something to keep him busy, or something that would at least interest him for a moment. there didn't seem to be anything catching his eye though, and so he spent most of his time thumbing through old tomes, unable to decipher some of the ancient text, but clearly amused by some of the prehistoric imagery. that was when he saw her, the nymph like girl he'd come to know as aphrodite, as bewitching as her name she was in her looks, but he wasn't about to let her know that, not at all. of course, you'd be here. there isn't anything else you can ever bring yourself to do, is there? stuck with your nose in a book, like a complete loser. he wandered casually down the aisle beside her and smirked as he glanced over her exquisite physique. you dont have any friends, do you, mudblood? everyone thinks you're a dirty little freak, ain't that so? he held his head up high as he looked down the bridge of his nose at her, a look of utter disgust lining his features. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(''), border: solid #886068 5px; width: 450px; height: 500px;] it hadn't taken very long for her day to be ruined as she heard a familiar voice coming from beside her. closing her chocolate brown eyes for a moment, aphrodite silently took a deep breath and released it before gazing back at the books in front of her. his voice snapped her out of the daydream state she was in, bringing her back to the reality of her existing conflict with the slytherin boy. wondering why she had ever met the guy since her first year at this school, aphrodite will never know. she found him to be very inconsiderate of all others' feelings, something completely opposite with who aphrodite is. she cared very well about others, which unfortunately made her care about micah deep inside. shaking the thought, aphrodite turned away from him and headed down the aisle a little more, still looking.
shouldn't there be something you should be doing right now? she asked calmly. don't you have anyone else to be bothering? i don't know what brings you to the library, horan. you seem to avoid places like this as if it's some infectious disease. aphrodite used to completely ignore any remarks micah threw her way, hoping he would become bored with her. he had no business to know what her intentions were in the library, therefore she refused to give him a straight answer. the loser comment did nothing to her, but when she heard 'mudblood' escape from his lips, aphrodite gave a scowl. she hated being referred to one as if it was the worst thing to be born into. she wanted to prove it wrong. there was much more to life than being judged on one's blood.
i'd have you know that i'm not some dirty little freak. in fact, i'm rather the opposite. and, i believe you also mispronounced muggleborn. do you need me to spell it out for you? i'm sure there's a dictionary in here somewhere. aphrodite knew better than to fight fire with fire. just retaliating would provoke more victimizing words to leave micah's mouth. there was no point in letting the heated conversation to progress any further when all it ever does is lead to fighting. aphrodite knew that things would never get any better. after all, he was a slytherin. their reputation said a lot. but before she could keep quiet, aphrodite let slip and, for the record, i do have friends, which i would suggest that you don't ever talk to them. why don't you go back to the dungeons? you don't belong in the library.
