Saturdays was always one of Joey's favorite days because it meant no classes for the whole day and none on Sunday meaning he could pretty much do what he wanted to do. He had had been up since three in the morning though and had been talking to Maria Calico during the early morning hours. Why he was outside so early in the morning he had no idea why. Oh yeah he suddenly remembered. It had to do with a certain pesty ghost he wanted to get rid of but yet did not now how to do that. He walked back into the school very quickly. He never kissed the girl but yet talking to her was probably just as bad.
Walking into the Common room he plopped onto one of the black leathered couches that was in front of the fire place. He let his eyes close and drifted off into a light sleep. Not that he meant too but the couch at the moment felt so soft and warm feeling that he sort of fell asleep but yet he should be glad that he doesn't have any classes to go to. Yet he doesn't talk in his sleep so he was glad that he had nothing to worry about.
Joey then had Maria in his mind and jumped to a sitting point and then lazily frowned. He wanted her out of his head and then when he shocked it he laid back down and once again began thinking and next thing he knew he was out for a while once more. Light sleep but still out. But this time he was dreaming of Quidditch and he was loving it. He put a smile on his face just as he caught the snitch in his hand in his dream he thought he heard some pitter patter footsteps.

Avery had been friends with Joey since his first year at Hogwarts. She acted like an older, protective, sister towards the young male and she didn't mind it one little bit. Sure, she was well aware that her party and drinking habits didn't allow him to grow through the years with a very good role model, yet he had turned out okay. Well, more than okay to be perfectly honest. Avery often felt jealous of the girls Joey would go after. The simple fact that she was unable to feel love in any way, shape, or form, allowed jealousy to seep through every pour as her blue eyes watched the male grow closer to the muggleborn.
"Pure-bloods are to stick together. It doesn't matter if Voldemort is gone, his ways are still around. Muggleborns and half-bloods are pure horrid against this world. You shouldn't fall for such a thing."
The young woman had constantly had her father's words about Voldemort and pure-bloods sticking together ever since she was able to talk. In one part of Avery's mind, she didn't quite understand what the big deal was... Yet on the other hand, she knew exactly what he meant. Most muggleborns and half-bloods were disgusting creatures that shouldn't have been accepted into the wizarding world.
Whispering the Slytherin password, Avery stepped through the porthole and noticed a young man sitting on the black sofa.
"I see we've been up early. Talking to little miss Ravenclaw? It's written all over ya face."
Her feet made their way over towards Joey as her body sat down and pushed him until he was awake. Avery didn't like that young woman. She was a muggleborn, and no-one liked muggleborns. Especially Slytherins.
"Come on. Tell me what happened. Did she try to kiss you? Did you push her? Did you tell her to leave you alone?"

Joey couldn't believe that he was even dreaming about the girl. Yes he did like her but he wasn't sure if he liked liked her. He was sort of torn in between. Mainly because Avery kept telling him that purebloods are supposed to be with purebloods and that was that. He didn't know what to believe now since his heart was pumping for someone. He couldn't believe it that was for sure. In his sleep he actually kissed her. But in real he hadn't. He hadn't even said much to her to come think of it or at least if he did he thought it was just a dream.
Still sort of sleeping he heard a girl speak to him and at least attempted to wave. But when she pushed him he opened his eyes and looked at her like she was crazy for a moment. "Avery I hadn't got much sleep last night. And no she didn't try to kiss me and no I didn't push her. Not my thing." he said with a small smile on his face. "Besides it's not right to hit a female." he pointed out. He was a gentleman none the less. "How was your morning?" he asked her with a small smile on his face. Sure they were friends but they were more then just friends. She felt like a sister to him. He didn't have any sisters for that matter of fact. He has two other brothers. One who is older then him by two years and one who is a year younger then him but no sisters and the odd thing was he was the only one in Slytherin. The other two landed themselves in Ravenclaw and Gryffindor.

Avery pouted a little as Joey scolded her for not getting enough sleep, yet after a few moments she laughed a little and placed a smile back onto her face. "Come on, you must have done something. She's a muggleborn, not your type. Plain and simple." Shaking her head, the young woman stood and twirled on the spot before sitting back down on the other sofa. Bringing up her legs, she sat cross-legged and pulled her red night-gown over the top of her legs before leaning back into the sofa.
"My morning? Geeze, only been worrying about my little Joey. I don't want to see him get hurt." Winking in the male's direction, Avery tilted her head back and let her blonde hair fall to the back of the sofa.
Closing her eyes for a brief moment, the female thought back to the party she had had in Hogsmeade just a few nights ago and wondered what Allena was doing at that exact moment. Probably sleeping. Avery was the party-chick out of the two and she didn't mind it one little bit. It meant she could have more fun. More fun, hold her liquor better, and get all the attention from the boys. There was one boy in particular she had had her eye on the entire night of that party, yet she still didn't know his name.
Sighing, Avery lifted her head back up and stared directly at Joey. "So, tell me. Are you going to see her again? Or do I have to convince you not to?"

"She maybe a mudblood more like it missy." Joey replied to her. "But mudblood or not she's still a girl and I don't hit girls." he pointed out. "Unless they hit me first and then I hurt them back." he said with a small smile on his face. Sure he wouldn't ever call her a mudblood to her face or probably would if Avery was around. But he would always apologize even though that doesn't even seem to work with her. Why is he always letting her control what he does? Maybe because Avery was older then him. Joey looked at her for a moment. She was a pretty girl too but it'd be odd to date her and shook his head mentally.
He was just happy and content that he didn't really care what happens to Calico or not. Yet he didn't know if his heart belongs to her yet or not? He wasn't going to rush into things just because his heart is saying that it loves that particular girl. He's dated girls before. And of course that is the one who Avery approves of for some odd reason. He let out a small little sigh. "Avery I didn't attend to see her last night. She walked into me well not touching walking into just walk in the same direction of me and saw me and backed up." he told her.
"And I'm not even trying to see her so what's with do I have to convince you not to see her stuff?" he asked her for a moment in a calm matter. "I don't really care for her. She's a bit annoying if you ask me. And part of me wonders if she really is a mudblood like it seems." he said with a small curious smile when he had said what he had just told Avery.

{I just basically started it having her asking him random questions about the day ahead. }
After sitting, Avery shook her head and ran a free hand through her long, blonde hair before smiling over at Joey. He really was handsome, and all of the Slytherin girls knew it. Most of them wanted nothing more than to try and get into his pants, but they never seemed to have that sort of luck. Most of them had become jealous of the close bond Avery had formed with Joey, and mostly took her for a long-time-wanting-to-be-his-girlfriend friend. Avery had waved them off with a flick of her wrist and told them that he was like the younger sibling she never had. And that's exactly what he was. A younger sibling who just happened to also be drop dead handsome.
Sitting up, Avery tilted her head to the side as she watched Joey and frowned."So, what's your plans for today Mr. Greyson?" Shifting into a laying down position, Avery brought her arms up to either side of her head and covered her face before peering out of a small gap between her arms and looking over at the other. A small smile spread across her face as she watched his reaction and was soon standing up once more. Walking over to Joey, the young woman knelt beside him and brushed a strand of hair from his face. "What's got my little Joey all upset? Big test?"
Avery never enjoyed watching Joey feel any emotion rather than happiness. That was what he deserved out of life. To be completely happy and have a girl at his side who would make him happy. And if no girl would take the role of girlfriend, Avery would just have to take the girl role by his side - but as his sister.
