She bit down at her bottom lip as she stared at herself in her mirror. She took a deep breath and started pushing the pins into her hair that always held it into its perfect place. Elise picked up her lipstick and pursed her lips together, running the bright red stain along her lips. She smiled at her own reflection and set the lipstick down. She made a kissy face at herself before she giggled softly and headed out of the door and into the hospital wing proper. It was strange to have her bedroom right to the side of the wing but she knew how necessary it was. There were often people here who had to stay overnight and those nights….she didn’t get much sleep. But it was worth it.
It looked like the few people who had been in and out over the night were gone now. The other healers must have taken care of it either while she was asleep or while she was getting ready this morning. She didn’t mind though because she knew that they needed work to do as well. She couldn’t be the only one around here that actually got things done. But she wished that she had something to do now instead of just standing around in the empty hospital wing waiting for something to happen. She drummed her fingers along one of the cabinets before she grabbed up the book she was reading currently and sat down on the edge of the waiting desk. She crossed her legs and popped the book open, hoping this at least would keep her distracted. [/style] |

Even as a kid, she did things most kids wouldn't dare to do. Jump out of trees, climb up playground equipment; she was a death trap waiting to happen. She had to have been in the hospital wing at least five times already this year. She knew the staff in the hospital wing pretty well by now and they knew her and rolled their eyes every time they came in. It hadn't even been a quarter past eight and she had already managed to injure herself. Each morning, she met up with Valentine, her best friend, to grab breakfast and then walk to class with her after that. However, when she met up with her best friend this morning, her head was slighty bleeding. When she woke up, the other Ravenclaw girls were whispering and surronding her. Apparently, in the middle of the night she managed to roll off the bed and bang her head pretty damn hard. But apparently not loud enough for people to wake up. Luckily, she didn't have a concussion and could walk relatively fine.
Valentine still walked her up to the hospital wing, still in her sweat pants and long sleeved shirt from sleeping. Roxie placed her hand on the spot of her head that hurt and her friend took her other arm and led her down the long corridors. She hoped this wouldn't take too long because she honestly didn't, and couldn't, miss any classes this year. She couldn't afford to and she had already missed her beginning period at least twice already. Valentine stopped at the entrance of the wing and said she had to go eat breakfast. Roxie shooed her away and struggled in, almost tripping over her shoes that she just slipped on, not even bothering to tie them. So, the pain in her head was getting worse now. She tightly closed her eyes and shuffled through the wing, "MISS JENSEN. I HIT MY HEAD REALLY HARD AND I NEED HELP PLEASE." She opened her eyes and noticed that there weren't any students or workers around. She grimmaced and took a seat on one of the multiple open cots.

She looked up from the desk though once she saw who it was; she wasn’t sure why she had even bothered. If someone was coming in here hurt it was most likely the person who was now yelling at her for help. Elise turned the book upside down and set it on the desk. She slid easily from the wooden surface and quickly pushed the edges of her dress down to make sure that she was still being appropriate as far as looks were concerned while she was on the job.
“For Merlin’s sake Roxie….do you have a death wish?” Elise raised her brows at the girl as she stepped up to her. She pushed her hair back and frowned at the blood that was already caked in her hair and along her face. “Or simply trying to get the rest of your housemates a heart attack?” She shook her head and walked away from the younger female. She popped open the cabinet closest to them and rummaged through it quickly. Elise came back to the cot with her arms full of things that she dropped onto the bed. “Luckily for you…it doesn’t look that bad.”
Elise grabbed a rag and snapped open a bottle. Also luckily for both of them she kept the place stocked on so many potions it was a wonder there were ever any injuries around the place. Elise then pulled her wand out and pointed it at Roxie’s head. “Tergeo.” She spoke the spell calmly but she was always impressed with how much a wand could do in healing. Sadly this was only for clearing away dried blood and the other spells she knew would be too strong for the small gash that Roxie had. Elise tilted the bottle over onto the rag and then dabbed Roxie’s cut with the rag. She then picked up another bottle and little cup, which she filled halfway and shoved into Roxie’s hand. “I need you to drink that. Should help your headache.” Elise nodded her head before she started tidying up. “So what’d you do this time?” She asked over her shoulder as she packed things back in the cabinet. [/style] |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i54.tinypic.com/2vafwqd.jpg), border: solid #ffffff 5px; width: 400px; height: 500px;] Roxie didn't know why she was the way she was. It just so happend that she was kind of a clutz. Everyone around her knew it and they didn't even have to know her. She had a bunch of bruises and scratches on her just walking around the school. Concerned girls came up to ask if she was in an abusive relationship and Roxie just laughed and said that she was single and ready to mingle. Besides, if she was in a relationship and he ended up like that, well, she would end the relationship right there and then. She already beat herself up enough, she didn't need someone else doing it to her as well.
The head nurse, Miss Jensen, and her had become quite acquanted over the last several years. Roxie gave her a big smile when she asked if she had a death wish. She lowered her hand from her head, "No. I actually enjoy my life." She bent her head a little down and felt Miss Jensen move the hair away from her wound. "I don't want to give them all heart attacks. This just happens to me." She heard her walk away and Roxie popped her head back up and swung her feet back and forth. She turned her head to look at what all she had brought over. Some of the stuff, actually most of the stuff, she had recognized. She was happy to hear that the wound wasn't that bad at least. "So, I can make it back to the first class?" That was all she was concerned about right now.
She heard a slight whisper and felt the spell hit her head. Even being eighteen, she was still not used to spells reaching her body. Maybe it was because she just hadn't grown up with magical parents or whatever? Plus she had never had spells on her. The only time that happend was what happend in here. She never volunteered for casting spells or for stuff for defense against the dark arts classes. Roxie had never been comfy with performing spells in front of others. Before she knew it, she had a cup in her hand that apparently should help her headache out. She chugged the cup and set it behind her on the bed. "That's nasty," she commented. She licked her lips and made a gross face. "Er. Apparently in the middle of the night, I fell off my bed and hit my head pretty hard if you couldn't see. But I didn't wake up when I hit the ground." Imagine that. Roxie was a heavy sleeper most the time. "I don't do these things. The universe hates me."
