[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background:#202020 , border: solid #ffffff 5px; width: 400px; height: 500px;] mason walsh was in no hurry to finish his school shopping up at diagon alley. he had gotten his list of required books and such that he needed by the next day, but that didn't mean he was going to be like most of the people around him that were rushing to get it done so they could go to hogsmeade or somewhere totally not important. mason had nowhere important to be, and nothing of importance to do, so he was taking his time waking down the street to each shop he needed. quite a few people shoved him, but he just apologized and moved to the side so they could continue on their mass search for a textbook or something else. his gray egyptian mau had managed to find a decent pace to keep up with mason, waking directly beside him. before nova, he had never been a cat person. but as a kitten she had attached herself to mason, never leaving his side, so he kept her.
turning into the bookstore, he held the door open for nova and headed inside, unfolding his list and staring down at it. it was all the books he needed for the year, and there were quite a few of them. a small sigh escaped from mason's lips as he started searching the shelves. when he went to sidestep after having about half of his books, nova had entangled herself in his legs and he fell flat onto the ground, all of his books sprawling out in front of him. "oh, nova.." he began to shuffle about to pick up all of the books, but they were eveywhere. he hadn't thought he had grabbed that many, but he then remembered that not only had he grabbed his required books, he had grabbed quite a few that just seemed interesting. quickly, so as to not cause a scene, mason went to grab his wand to pull all the books together. it was then that he realized he had forgotten his wand in one of his luggage bags. today just wasn't his day, clearly. Cadence Walsh had nothing planned for the day. All she did was change out of her work clothes and head around to the small village for some her time. She tugged her sweater close to her, walking around. She wasn't into the teenage clothing, yet she wasn't into the late adult clothes either. So she was in the between part of it. Cadence went walking around, heading into some stores and getting new cloaks for when she needed them and a few little things she needed for around the house. She had to get food for her cat and just go on with her daily life. This was nice for her though, just being able to go out and not worry about people back at the hospital. It was a nice day out too, so this was a bonus win for her today. She hadn't heard from Colette at all, nor from the older brother or Mase. Sighing, what she felt the need for was being books, not that she was going to read them, but it was nice to make the house feel more open a bit.
Heading towards the bookstore, she noticed a small particular person she knew. Doing a jog like thing, she went over to help lift up the books and grew a smile on her face. You know Mase, it would be better to put them in a bag or something, so they wouldn't fall everywhere and you scramble to pick them up in a hurry.. Cady spoke lightly, handing the book back over to the boy. She was actually calm and collect, which was honestly nice for a change rather than being snarky at the hospital where people kept annoying her. She stood back up, smiling a bit and looking at the younger brother she had.
ooc;; its short for now, but i can make it up later as we go : )

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background:#202020 , border: solid #ffffff 5px; width: 400px; height: 500px;] normally mason wasn't a complete klutz. he was fairly good at keeping his balance, and even more so remembering things. for some odd reason, he was a complete mess since school was starting the next day and he didn't have the things he needed. normally he got all of his things a few days in advance, but mason has slacked off and instead spent his time with nova doing whatever he could find to do in hogsmeade, etc. he was starting to regret putting off his shopping, because had he decided to just take a couple trips this whole situation could have been avoided. he was over it, though, because when he looked up to who was handing him his book, he smiled. he hadn't seen cady in a while, so it was nice to see a familiar face and actually get some help.
he laughed a bit, shrugging. "i didn't think i was going to be grabbing so many books. i guess i went a little crazy." mason held his books in a stack in his arm, holding them with his chin. "what brings you here?" he asked, readjusting his arm just barely. nova was back at his side, sitting down and purring. sometimes he wondered if the cat did things like that on purpose, or if she just thought purring would get her out of trouble. usually it worked, though, so he was sure she had just learned to act cute whenever he was mad at her. he sighed softly. "i should probably buy these before nova decides to trip me again and damage them all." with another laugh, mason rolled his eyes at his cat. "what're your plans for the day?" [/style]

Cady shook her head with a smile on her face, then shrugged a bit. She had a few reasons, but nothing to major on the spot. Came to get a few things, cloaks and cat food for Izzy, and possible books just to make it look like I read. . . Cady said lightly. She was seriously contemplating on buying him a bag just to hold everything so that there would be no accident like this had just happened. The girl looked down at the cat and laughed. I should get you one of those shoulder bags, that way it can help you from not dropping anything, cause I had the problem too when I was getting my stuff. Cady said, remembering the awkward stage of getting books for school for the hard classes and just the stuff she had to get to make it seem she was smart and educated more than just at Hogwarts. But she just wasn’t the girl who was in the mood to read. She managed to pass her homework though and pass tests without even studying so much. She had the attention span of someone who didn’t care. Cady nodded as the boy went on to go pay for the books, she followed lightly behind him, letting him do what he had to do before she would go on and talk to him some more. It was rare at times that she got to talk to them, because she had been busy and they had been in school, so it was nice to talk to them once in a while. The older brother was someone she rarely talked to the most. No one even hears from him anymore, so there was no bother at all to even worry. Cady shook her head out of her thoughts and smiled at the person before heading out again with Mason. I really don’t have any plans at all. Just sitting at the house I guess. I don’t have to go to work until a few days. I’m glad I get the days off though; I needed them….But what about you? What are your plans for the day? Cady asked, looking at her brother.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background:#202020 , border: solid #ffffff 5px; width: 400px; height: 500px;] for the rest of the day mason had planned on simply going back to the school and organizing all of his stuff in his trunk and night stand to make it easier for himself for the year. if he didn't get it done before classes started, he never would manage to get it done. mason laughed lightly at his sister's offer, but shook his head. "i have a bag back at the school, but i forgot it next to my wand." he must have been distracted this morning to forget his bag and his wallet. he really didn't know where his head was, because he never forgot that many things in one morning. he was nervous about starting his final year at hogwarts, and he still hadn't gotten a full decision on what he wanted to do with his life after school. maybe continue his education, maybe travel for a year.. who knew? there was a world of opportunities and mason had yet to learn about what one seemed perfect for him. glad his books were now in bags since he had paid for them, he grabbed the handles and looked to cady with a smile. "you want to get some lunch, maybe? i don't have much going on other than organizing everything of mine so i don't run into the same issue as this morning, but i have all day for that. so maybe we could go get some burgers or something?" now that he thought about it, mason's stomach was grumbling on repeat. yet another thing he'd forgotten that morning was to grab something to eat to hold him over until supper. mason's mind seemed to be everywhere at once. he hadn't unpacked his organizer yet, that was his problem.
