arcadia spent far to long, sitting at that desk in hogsmeade for her own good. there was nothing she liked more than getting out of that office, and into the fresh air. her red hair was pinned back that day in a high pony tail, and she was talking to her quick notes quill so she could finally get this artcile finished. it had been a long week, with articles about hexed objects making its way onto her desk, and others needing her to go into the field to get some interviews done. she would then relay the news to someone who could use it on the wireless network. it was just another average day for her, but she found herself drifting off and distracting herself by the window that led out into the open of hogsmeade. she was on the third floor of the building, that towered over hogsmeade, it was a relatively new building, a place where she found herself completely relaxed, and out of the way from everyone, and everything. the issue with it was, she was craving the outside world, she was craving the fresh air, and the wind blowing through her fiery red hair. Instead, she was sitting here, staring out the window just wishing she could be out there.
it had been like this for a while, each and every day was the same problem, the same issue, sitting behind a desk. after school, she'd been on the bridge about what she wanted to do as a career, and she had been preoccupied by a certain male at times as well, which obviously was not helping with her decision of what to do as a career, and what kind of path she wanted to take. after much consideration, and deliberation, she'd finally found herself settling on journalism, something that had highly interested her throughout her school years, and kept her interest. still, she wasn't sure it was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. she'd been considering leaving for a while, or applying for a different job, seeing if she could get higher up in the industry. she had been more focused on herself than anything, particularly the area of her life that involved her love life.
her love life hadn't been all that exciting since the end of her relationship, with on and off long term boyfriend. her experience with drake was well.. long term at the least. they'd shared this on and off relationship since their days in hogwarts, but with conflicting personalities, and life styles they were pretty much doomed from the beginning. she wanted her career, she was set on making this happen, and he didn't exactly fit into the picture - especially when they could barely make it past the two year mark. how were they ever going to have a life together? it had been quite a while since she'd seen him, or even had a conversation with him, and maybe that was what was bugging her more lately. she craved him at times, there would be instances where he'd completely take over her mind - she'd been on dates and actually said his name instead of their name, and that was definitely a big issue in her eyes. an audible sigh escaped her lips, and she found herself once more slumped over her desk, staring at the quill which hovered over the paper, waiting for her to dictate, instead she grabbed it and stuffed it into the drawer slamming it shut as she slumped into the table, resting her head on her arms.
