[/style][style=width:400px; text-align:justify;]the fact that alice had just admitted to having feelings for him had his entire head spinning. mason didn't know what to say or do, especially as alice flew off in her crow form. he and xavier were the only two students that had known about it before that moment, and now it felt slightly less special that kieran was in on the secret. but at the same time, it was a bit of a relief. he didn't have to avoid mentioning seeing alice flying around the castle like she did every morning when he was on his morning runs, or the fact that the crow that perched itself outside of the gryffindor windows was her, trying to get his attention. but the one thing that wouldn't escape his mind was what she'd said about him. mason couldn't even get himself to speak. he just nodded lightly when kieran asked if she transformed often.
head spinning, mason sat down in the grass, his hand rubbing his forehead furiously, trying to figure out what he should do or say. he'd never once in his life had to deal with a moment like this, let alone many confrontations at all other than punching alice's ex boyfriend and leaving a black eye, which nobody but kieran and trent knew about. mason nodded his head again, weakly. "yeah. i do." it was all he could manage to say, and it wasn't even very loud. his mouth felt dry, and his head was becoming increasingly dizzier by the second as he tried to understand what on earth had just happened. magic, he could understand, but alice having feelings for him just didn't seem possible.
mason lifted his eyes to look at kieran, frustration written all over his face. "i love you too, mate. this is just.." he shook his head and looked back down at the ground. "why didn't i ever notice? am i really that oblivious, that i talked about other girls to alice when she had feelings for me? i feel like the biggest tosser on the planet, right now.." mason sighed softly, running the hand on his forehead through his hair a few times before scratching his neck. "i screwed up, man." he sighed, heavier this time, and fell onto his back into the grass, closing his eyes. his hands covered his face, rubbing at the throbbing that was continuing on inside of his mind.
