The rain was coming down hard as Alexandria looked out the window of her apartment. She had a cup of steaming coffee in her hand. Two sugars, and a dash a cream just the way she liked it. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun and she was lounging in a pair of yoga pants and a t-shirt with the collar cut off that hung off her shoulder. She sat in the window seat of her apartment and just watched the rain fall passing the time before Chance got here to discuss his new contract with Puddlemere United.
The season was ending soon and they always went over the contract before the new season started. It was sort of a tradition. Before she would have been looking forard to it. When they were dating he would come over or she would go to his place and they would cuddle up in front of a fire and talk about it all. In the end they couldn't get much done for they would get off topic but she would just go over the next night and try and finish it. But now that they had broken up she was not really looking forward to it.
For years they had been on and off. She loved him more than anything but she couldn't just keep being dragged along by him and not know where he stood on their relationship. They would constantly fight over it. She wanted to be with him for the rest of her life but she didn't know if he wanted to or not. He had not asked her and had not even shown that he had thought about it. She would hint at it constantly but he would never pick up on the hints so she put down the law one day and she left at his hesitation.
She sipped at her coffee and continued to watch the rain. She couldn't think of that right now. She was still his manager and they needed to get this done and over with. She had Derek now. She had met him in a coffee shop and he had started up a conversationa dn had asked her out to dinner. They had been on five dates so far and she liked him. But she still wanted Chance. No...she wouldn't think of that right now.
